Kent Captures Col's Castle Cup

Easter Saturday saw some good fields at Lithgow with the Cadet 12 class racing for the Col's Castle Cup. The Cup is presented to the winner of a selected class each year in honour of the clubs founding President Col Becker.

Cadet 12 had a strong field of 14. Heat 1  winner was Kent Fias-Ayon 2nd Kyle Cotter, 3rd William Lowing. Heat 2 winner was Jaxon Fraser from William Lowing and Lachlan Campbell. Heat 3 was another win to Kent Fias-Ayon from Kyle Cotter and Zac Bates who had Rally Legend dad Rick Bates looking proud.

In the Pre Final Kent Fias-Ayon jumped straight to the lead with Kyle Cotter second and then a battle for third. Lachlan Campbell was 3rd until lap 6 and was passed by Jaxon Fraser who held on for 3rd from Ryan Kennedy and William Lowing.

Once the photo shoot was complete the Cadet 12s took to the track for their 12 lap final. Kyle Cotter took an early lead but was passed on lap 2 by Kent Fias-Ayon. A close race for the minor placings saw Kyle Cotter second, Jaxon Fraser 3rd followed by Ryan Kennedy, William Lowing, Lachlan Campbell, Zac Bates, Henry McLandsborough, Matthew Hansford-Taylor and Luke Ferguson rounding out the top 10.
