Karting Australia will now enforce the compulsory fitment of CIK-FIA rear impact protection devices to karts.
Due to supply issues earlier this year, KA advised its race meeting officials in January to apply the provisions of the “Minor Ineligibility” rule if a kart was presented at a race meeting without the item. This has now been revoked and the devices must be fitted for all race meetings, as per below.
