  • Speaking of RKA, the organisation is now an officially incorporated body. "At this stage we have done it simply to keep things proper when it comes to running the whole thing and having bank accounts and the like" the organisation's Paul McKinnon informed KartSportNews. "Once we have the necessary stuff sorted out and Stony Creek has been run and won, we will have another sit down and work out the bigger goals".

  • NASCAR star Danica Patrick's dad, TJ Patrick, has started up a kart race team. Patrick Karting was established to "help guide those looking to take their talents to the next level with sound education and connecting with the proper channels". Based out of Indianapolis, Patrick Karting is focused on working with Rookie, Cadet and Junior racers that have the drive and talent (and, one must presume, budget!) to be among the best.

  • How many kart tracks are located on a busy road? Gippsland Go Kart Club's Tramway Park Raceway graces the old Princes Highway in Morwell. The club has just rejuvinated this old billboard trailer to give passers by, and those stopped at the traffic lights, something to read. The date of each next event will be placed in the space above the wheel arch.
