Southern Tasmanian Kart Club member Callum Bishop scored a very impressive 2nd place in the Junior Max Trophy class at the Rotax Pro Tour round on the weekend.

After qualifying 4th, Bishop was able to hold his pace throughout the heats and pre final to start the 17 lap final off grid 3. In the final he moved in to second place early and chased the leader Travis Worton to the line whilst holding off third placed Jaiden Pope.

Xavier Renshaw claimed a solid 4th in the final of Micro Max after a race long battle with Emerson Vincent who grabbed third.

Launceston Kart Club members Tate Frost and Mitchell Kerrison competed in the highly competitive Junior Max class with Kerrison claiming a season best result of 6th in the final.

Kerrison, who qualified 19th in Saturday's qualifying session, had to battle his way to the front of the field all weekend. A stellar drive in the pre-final where he managed to finish 9th set up the final 20 lap encounter where he moved further forward claiming  a very well deserved 6th place finish.

Frost, who has been competing in the Australian Kart Championship, joined the Pro Tour for the first time. He struggled in qualifying with a 28th result, however improved over the course of the weekend finishing 22 in the final.
