2016 WA KZ Series: The Story So Far

  16 October 2016

The 4th round of the 2016 FMA Motorsport WA KZ Series was raced at the famous King of the Hill Meeting at Hurricane Kart Club back in September.

Series stalwart Daniel Currey battled it out with 2015 Champion Jake Klarich for most of the races before Hayden Patrizi took line honours in the final. Mr Consistent, Simon Gwilliam, came in 2nd and Josh Merritt 3rd.

The 2016 series points have somewhat taken shape with a round still to go. It would take something serious to challenge the experienced Daniel Currey for the series win. However, the race is definitely still on for the minor placings where anything could happen.

The 2016 Ricciardo Rookie of the Year award also looks to be beyond doubt, Mitchell Perrella looking to join some big names such as Anthony Martin and Darren Burke who have now gone on to bigger and better things overseas.

For the final round, the series will return to the Eastern Goldfields Kart Club in Kalgoorlie on the 29th and 30th October.
