  • AIDKA has announced the dates for the re-run of this year's Australian Dirt Kart Championship that was rained out on the Yorke Peninsula recently. Friday 29th September to Sunday 1st October in 2017 have been set for the event's race days, with Monday October 2 as the rain-out date. Venue remains the same, the Yorke Peninsula Dirt Kart Club's track at Wallaroo (between Adelaide and Port Pirie).

  • Macau Competition organizer AAMC is once again offering financial support to karters who compete in the CIK-FIA Asia Pacific KZ Championship, set for December 7 to 10. The package includes:
    • A cash subsidy of USD 3,000 for each driver, registered and present on the strating grid
    • Two twin rooms for 5 nights at the Pousada Marina Hotel for each Driver
    • Local (Macau) freight forwarding and Customs clearance
    • Local transport (shuttle bus) to and from the Hotel/Karting circuit.

  • Melbourne Kart Centre now has in stock Lucky Design helmet and visor cleaner, as used by James Sera. The Lucky cleaner is formulated for use on LLC visors. Contact HERE.

  • American karting industry identities Mike Maurini (owner of Koene USA, Race Tech Development and RTD Media & Management) and Mike Rolison (owner of Rolison Performance Group and promoter of the Can-Am Karting Challenge) have joined forces to form Compass Management Solutions (CMS). One of the new organisation's aims is to offer the karting industry assistance with accommodation at major karting events, doing deals with hotels to book ample rooms at better prices.

  • The Bathurst kart track could be up and operational by the middle of next year - if everything goes to plan. A number of key players met at the Mount Panorama location on Wednesday. The new circuit is a joint project between the local club, Karting Australia and Bathurst Regional Council. Tenders will be sought for its construction once the final design is confirmed.   • Race numbers and race order for AIDKA's WA State Championship are now on the organisation's website - click HERE to see the full list. The event takes place this weekend at the Dirt Trackers Kart Club, Oldbury

  • Mirko Torsellini has rejoined the factory CRG team. The 23-year old will race CRG/TM in the KZ gearbox category in 2017, but will compete in the forthcoming Trofeo delle Industrie later this month. He is pictured below with Eddy Tinini (left) and CRG’s President Giancarlo Tinini.

  • Newcastle Kart Racing Club will host the Metro Invitational in December. The event pits the best-of-the-best from each NSW metro-region club.


  • Combined Districts Kart Club has issued a Clyde Marshall Memorial update: "There is a discrepancy between the sup regs and advertising in regard to practice on Saturday. Pending approval by the Stewards, we propose that there WILL be a practice session on Saturday morning then separately a qualifying session." Entries can still be accepted up until 7:30am Saturday morning.




  • Plenty of cash available at the South Pacific Titles next week:


  • Tillet seat sale at Patrizicorse: "We hold every size in good quantities in both T11 standard, the much wanted T11VG original and T5 Cadet. Sale won't last!!"


  • Construction of the new SpeedsportZ Racing Park in North Houston, Texas, is progressing well. "We are well on our way to opening in just a few months and have begun hiring the necessary people and putting programs in place" explained Alan Rudolph, who will run the Alan Rudolph Racing Academy from the facility. A 'soft' opening for the rental track is set for December 17. The grand opening of the entire facility is planned for February 18, 2017.

  • A 'random draw' set of tyres for each class will be up for grabs at the Geelong club's Junior Challenge next month, November 13. The only condition is that the class must have over eight entries. "This event has produced amazing top class racing over the last few years and the one day meet will be jammed with racing with qualifying, two heats of ten laps, one 12 lap pre-final and one 16 lap final" the club advised KartSportNews. The track will be open all day on the Saturday for unofficial practice - for juniors only!

  • For those who monitor traditional karting events in Italy, the 45th running of the Industry Trophy is this weekend. Canberra's Joshua Fife will be racing at the event, competing in a 67-kart strong KZ2 class with the factory Energy Corse team.
