Venue Swap For Country Series Rounds

  30 March 2017

The venues for rounds 3 and 4 of the Victorian Country Series have been swapped.

Round 3 on May 21 was originally to be at Horsham, but will now be run at Portland. Conversely, round 4 on July 16 (originally at Portland) will now run at Horsham.

"The reason for the change is that the Motorbike Club next door is hosting the 2017 MX National Event on the 21st May" Sabrina Luciani, secretary of the Wimmera Kart Club, informed KartSportNews.

"Their event is the biggest event in the southern hemisphere for motorbikes. Between competitors and crew there will be 1000 personnel plus 2000 spectators, plus they require some of our pit area for their event.

"We sincerely thank the Portland Kart Club for their cooperation in allowing us to swap our event dates."

VCS organisers are hoping for 200 entries at the upcoming round 2 at Cobden on April 23.
