  • Arrow karts scored impressive victories in the United States on the weekend. Competing at the Rotax Challenge of the Americas, Phil DeLaO dominated the Senior MAX class, qualifying fastest and winning easily in a classy field. Ken Maxfield took line honours in Max Masters after a spirited battle. He had earlier qualified his Arrow fastest in the field. A number of other Americans proved competitive in the Aussie-built kart, such as Saturday's Mini Max top qualifier, Roy Fulmer IV. Link to event report and photos on ekartingnews HERE.

  • Two new lap records were set at the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit during round one of the 2013 Victorian Superkart Club series (race report HERE). Russ Occhipinti lowered the Non-Gearbox (Rotax) Light record to 1:56.4070s (average speed of 138 KPH). The previous record of 1:57.242 was set on September 15th 2002 by Jason McIntyre. The Non-Gearbox Heavy record was also smashed, Rod Clarke setting a 1:58.9158 lap (135 KPH lap average). The previous record was held by Mark Wicks (1:59.9158) and was set in February 2007.
