• It seems the rumours of Michael Schumacher racing karts again at the top level will come true, with confirmation he will compete in the opening round of the WSK Euro Series at La Conca this weekend. The German is entered in KZ1 with the factory Tony Kart team alongside Torsellini, Camponeschi, Dreezen and Ardigo. The full KZ Entry List (KZ1 and KZ2) is on the WSK site HERE.

• Speaking of the CIK opener, an interim Saturday report, plus the video below, was posted on the Stars of Karting site over the weekend. Championship points as they stand after the opening round HERE.
  
  
  
• The Manx Kart Club will be running the first ever 24-hour kart race on the Isle of Man, location for the famous TT. The club, in conjunction with Teesside Karting, will be running the event on the 1100m Jurby circuit on June 15-16. Prizes include entry to the British 24-hour. Arrive and drive deals are available for £1500 (about $2200!).
