  • Joseph Mawson was forced out of the final day of competition at the WSK Euro round in Italy on the weekend due to illness. He competed in two heats on Saturday but withdrew from Sunday's events. He has also confirmed that Ben George will be his mechanic for the rest of the Euro season. Further detail on speedcafe HERE.

  • Oakleigh Go Kart Racing Club has confirmed the next open meeting - the 'seniors only' Southern City Classic on Saturday, April 6 - will definitely run based on the entries in CM:S. "The club is looking forward to hosting this event and hope that this will become a must-attend race on all Senior karters' calendars. Entries will be taken on the day, but to ensure classes form, on-line entries are preferred" the club informed KartSportNews. On-line entries close on Wednesday 3rd April.   • Oakleigh club also advise an FA Victory Kart with a Rotax engine was stolen on Saturday evening or night from the house of a member in Lynbrook (outer Melbourne). The kart had Chatfield OzCool stickers on it. Please contact the club if you have any information relating to this theft - www.ogkrc.com.au

  • Russell Jamieson took four wins from four starts to lead the 250 International class at the conclusion of the opening round of the Rockpress Australian Superkart Championship in Sydney. Jason Akermanis won 250 National in his first appearance at the Australian Championship and consistency brought Jeff Reed victory in 125 cc class. More to follow...
