Ensby to Join Auto 1 KZ2 Series

press release 24 April 2013

The West Australian Auto 1 Series is set to get even more competitive with Patrizi Corse driver Kyle Ensby joining the ranks in what is set to be a big boost for the series.

“It’s great to see the big fields” Ensby said. "The dash for cash has been on my calendar now for a few years and it’s always a fun event so I imagine the series will be as well”.

Kyle will have to deal with being a lone team member for the 2nd round after Daniel Currey’s 3rd placing at round 1.

"Unfortunately, Dan and Hayden (Patrizi) will be missing the round, which makes it harder as we have no one to compare with.

"But I don’t think it should be an issue. Hopefully we can get all our testing done on the Friday and get our Birel/Iame up to speed.

"I have raced at Cockburn before a few years ago at the nationals, but I hear we are running down the hill this time. Should be fun!” he added.

Adding to the International flavour of the series is of course series leader and previous world champ, Joey Hannsen. The Lenzo team driver is confident his team can get up for the round.

auto one“We have been testing a lot here, myself and Jake Klarich. We have already bettered the lap record. But the more drivers we get and also getting Kyle then obviously the racing gets much better” Joey said.

When asked how he was liking Australia Joey had this to say: “ahhh the racing is great fun. You just have to look at last round with Millsy. Competitive, but fun. You are never guaranteed to win.”
