  • Eatern Lions (Vic) member Simon Larkin advises he has pulled out of the Queensland and Northern Territory championships. Thing is, he's got non-refundable JetStar tickets for an adult and child, and is now looking to 'forward' these to someone else to get back part of the cost. The tickets run Melbourne>Brisbane>NT>Melbourne. Enquiries to Simon; 0415 235 084.

  • David Sera has added another venue to the driver training days he is running in Western Australia next month. Deadly will conduct sessions at Esperence Kart Club on June 10 and 11. (He'll also be at Cockburn - Tuesday June 18, Bunbury - Wednesday June 19 &/or Friday June 21 and Wundowie - Saturday June 22 & Sunday June 23). Enquiries/bookings to David Sera on 0403 274 720.

  • AKA Addendum #15 has been issued (an original PDF HERE) regarding brakes in the General Kart Formula section. Rule 25.07.7 now reads:
    • Where brake pads are retained only by bolts, the bolts must either be;
         • Drilled and safety wired with quality tie wire
             or
         • Have a locking collar with grub screw fitted to the bolt / bolts holding the pads in place
            should the nut become dislodged.

      If split pins are used, they are to be in manufactured condition with a minimum diameter of 3mm.

  • Entries for round 3 of the CIK Stars of Karting series at Geelong on June 15/16 are now open. Categories competing at this event are: Pro Gearbox (Round 3 & Victorian State Championship), Pro Light (Round 3 & Victorian State Championship), Pro Junior (Round 3 & Victorian State Championship), TaG Light (Victorian State Championship), TaG Heavy (Victorian State Championship), TaG Restricted Light & Heavy plus Rookies. Entry closes Friday May 31. All teams and drivers are requested to contact Lee Hanatschek (0403 531 914) with requirements in terms of marquee hire and/or pit space required for your tow vehicles and other tents etc.
