Karting News Briefs

news grabs from the world of karting...

  • It was a tough weekend for all three Australians competing at the opening round of the European KF Championships on the weekend. The trio - Joseph Mawson (Top Kart), Dimitri Agathos and Josh Smith (both Kosmic) - lined up in Pre-Final 2 in the hope of making a transfer to the Final. Starting 24th, Mawson was a good chance of making the Final. Unfortunately, accidents eliminated all three from the running (Smith actually hit Mawson at high speed after Joey spun while making a pass).
    • Lots of photos from the Kosmic Racing Team at this event have been uploaded to the Remo Racing Facebook page HERE.

  • A 'Speed Challenge' will be run at the 2013 Clubman Cup at Launceston on September 1. A Tasmania Police radar gun will operate between 2pm & 3pm, with the fastest driver in each class receiving a trophy, sponsored by Allsorts of Treats. The club also welcomes new sponsor, BOC Gases Launceston. The Senior "J" Feature on October 6 will be sponsored by Noodle Box Kings Meadows and Mowbray.

  • Damage to Joey Mawson's Top Kart from the European Championship round on the weekend. Interesting to note they weren't running the centre bearing...
