More Products For DPE

  24 June 2013

Drew Price Engineering, soon to be known as DPE Kart Technology, considered ceasing the production of karts in Australia. The revelation was made in a news bulletin distributed today.

The main purpose of the bulletin was confirmation that DPE Kart Technology had reached agreement with Remo Racing to purchase a majority share of Remo's product portfolio.

"It is tough times surviving as an Australian manufacturer and some hard decisions had to be made" the bulletin quoted for Drew and Bart Price. "Do we downsize the operation or even consider stopping manufacturing? Or do we increase our investment in the karting industry to bring other product lines on board?"

DPE management decided the latter, so as of 1 July 2013 will be the Australian distributor for the following key brands:

  • MG Tyres
  • KG
  • Motul Oils & Lubricants
  • RK Kart Racing Chains
  • Talon Sprockets

Additionally, DPE will take over the servicing of the following products that were previously supplied by Remo Racing:

  • Monaco, Freem, Tecno, Dent, Dorfmere, Edwards, Lucky Design, Shell, Powermac, Yamaha, Xzuit, Wildkart, plus a wide range of miscellaneous products.

A message from Remo and Sabrina Luciani:
“We have been working on down scaling our operation due to personal, health and lifestyle reasons. We decided to entrust the future of this major share of our product range with DPE as we are confident that they are capable of servicing these important product lines and the needs of our valued customers into the future. Our business will now focus solely on IAME engines and parts, Kosmic & Alonso karts plus OTK parts.”

A message from Drew and Bart Price on behalf of the team at DPE:
“It is tough times surviving as an Australian manufacturer and some hard decisions had to be made. Do we downsize the operation or even consider stopping manufacturing. Or do we increase our investment in the karting industry to bring other product lines on board to help us sustain our fully professional business model.

We have always been competitive and passionate about manufacturing and we highly value our loyal staff so we have chosen the latter option. What we now plan to do is to work with you our customers to make this a win/win situation for the whole karting industry. Our goal is to lift our game substantially to not just offer the market the very best range of products but to also offer the very best service and we expect the market to hold us to this.

We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Remo & Sabrina Luciani plus the whole Remo Racing team for their hard work and success in building the range of brands and products over the last twenty years throughout Australia and the New Zealand markets."
