Karting News Briefs

  15 August 2013

today's bits...

  • The CC Racing stables have grown by one with the news that Clint and Allison Cathcart are the proud parents of a new baby boy. After a long labour, Allison gave birth to their third child late Wednesday afternoon (Aug 14). Grandfather Pete reports all are doing well. Congratulations!

  • Adelaide Dirt Kart Club is installing floodlights to enable Saturday night racing in the not too distant future. Lewiston Haulage assisted with the purchase of the light towers and the club is now offering signage opportunities for each of the towers. For $400 a business can have its name on a light tower for the life of the tower (the lights have an expected life of around 10,000 hours, meaning the sign will stay up for years to come). There are 21 towers and first in will get first choice of tower.

  • Long time karter Gary Pegoraro has been awarded Life Membership to the Victorian Superkart Club. Well done Wizzer!

  • The date for the 2013 Non-Gearbox Supekart Nationals has been announced. The two-day meeting will take place at Mallala, SA, on September 14 and 15.
