some bits of karting from the past few days...

  • A lap around NOLA Motorsports Park, venue for the Rotax World Final in November, on-board a DD2 with Rotax Test and Development Driver, Australia's Darrell Smith:


  • Thieves broke in to Pacific Kartsport in Yatalam (Qld) at the end of last week, stealing Adam Mercer's Arrow X3/Rotax package, a young kid's Arrow/Comer, plus a pile of showroom stock. Pacific's Dale Verall wrote on Facebook that the police rang to say the thieves had rolled their (stolen) getaway ute and were in custody. Ahhh, Karma....

  • The Australian Karting Association issued nine rule book addendums on August 23. Links to them can be found on the AKA website HERE. The addendums include, but are not limited to, changes in:
    • the carburettor specifications for the Clubman and National categories
    • the use of the Rotax 223 997 Cylinder in the TaG Restricted category
    • the inclusion of the KZ3 category as a part of the rule book
    • the maximum size of piston allowed in the KT Modified category in Speedway karting

  • Tucka at Pucka! The Eastern Lions Kart Club will be hosting a number of catered functions over the Rotax Nationals weekend:
