11year old Jake Donaldson will this weekend compete at the AKA Australian Speedway kart Titles at Nepean Speedway in the Junior National class. He has been making steady progress in the class this season finishing on the second step of the podium the last 3 club shows.
One of the things the team has decided to do to improve his development is to spend more time on the tar which they hope will transform the smoothness needed on tar to the control needed on the dirt Speedway.
Jake has been spending time practicing at both Eastern Creek & Lithgow City Raceway for the last 2 months. Jake hopes to follow in the footsteps of both Mick Saller & Kyle Angel who have both made the transition from Speedway to Tar with great Success, both winning last weekend at the Rotax Nationals.
Next season will see Jake spending time competing on both Tar & Speedway which the team hopes will see him grow as a racer.
