273 Drivers At IAME International Final

REMO RACING NEWS

This weekend, there will be 273 drivers from 27 countries competing at the 2013 IAME International Final at the Actua Circuit De Lyon in France.

REMO RACING is at the Final with Remo assisting Joseph Mawson with Kosmic Kart once again. Remo Racing organised the equipment for Joey through IDEAL KART the french Kosmic Kart and IAME importer. Joey is fortunate enough to have Alex Baten as mechanic!

The racing commences today with the finals on Saturday and Sunday. There are 4 classes at the exclusive IAME X30 event.

126 - Senior X30
51 - X30 Masters
28 - X30 Shifters
68 - X30 Juniors

REPRESENTING AUSTRALIA THIS WEEKEND:

Joseph Mawson, and James Allen both in X30 Senior which has a field 126 drivers and Kip Foster will be racing in the X30 Masters which has a field of 51. All competitors are on IAME X30 engines and KOMET tyres.

Due to the enormous amount of entry requests for the IAME International Final, IAME had to close the entries early and to satisfy the many drivers entered IAME decided to make a big effort and move the limits higher in each category and have more groups.

The IAME X30 is growing rapidly in many countries and they all contest in there National X30 Challenge events in their respective countries, all of whom have a National Final in which the top drivers are chosen to compete in the International Finals.

MEMORY LANE…

Many top names in Australian karting have competed in the IAME final over the years. In 2007 Australia achieved 4th place the drivers were Kevin Millard, Rick Pringle, Michael Goss, David Sera, Kel Treseder and Ben Walter.

In 2008 Australia finished 2nd, Ryan Sanderson, Adam Hughes, Grant Smith, Johnny Grother, Lee Mitchener and Brett Fortainier competing.

In 2010 there was Lee Mitchener and Adam Hughes, with Lee Mitchener WINNING for Australia. Lee also competed in 2011.
