  • The annual Brian Farley Memorial will run at Eastern Creek on Saturday, February 1 and 2. $2000 will be on the line for the winner of the Pro Clubman class, with $1000 for 2nd and $500 for 3rd. The event will be run in reverse (clockwise) direction on the 1024m track. The format is qualifying, 3 heats, pre-final and 20 lap final, however the third heat will feature a reversed grid for the top 15. A range of support classes will run.   • The Birel factory has confirmed it will have an official team at the major Rotax events in Europe and North America in 2014. This will be via a joint venture between the official Birel Motorsport team and the KMS (Kalman Motorsport) organisation. The team has an engine deal with Koen Lemmens' Belgian company, GKS. The European schedule includes the Rotax Winter Cup, Rotax Euro Challenge, Central East European Championship, Rotax International Open and the Rotax World Final. The North American calendar (racing under the KMS North America banner, founded by the same Peter Kalman in collaboration with the Canadian Birel importer, Michel Boisclair of the SRA company) includes the Florida Winter Tour, US Grand Nationals, Pan Am Race, Las Vegas Super Nationals, ECKNĀ (Canada) and the Canadian National Championship.

  • Next years' South Pacific Titles at Orange will double as the final round of the NSW TaG Super Series. The 6-round Super Series will commence at Manning Valley on February 22 followed by Lithgow (Mar 29), Eastern Creek (Aug 2), Tamworth (Aug 30), Lithgow (Sep 27) then conclude at Orange on November 8 & 9.

  • The FIA prize giving was conducted a few days ago, where World Champions Max Verstappen and Tom Joyner recieved their awards. The CIK-FIA Prize Giving Ceremony (for all the other karting titles) will take place on 11 January in Milano, Italy.

  • DPE Kart Technology has put up a prize for next years Australian Schools Karting Championship. The winner of the inaugural title will receive an exclusive personal tour of the DPEKT manufacturing facility in Melbourne, the home of Arrow, Monaco and Deadly karts.

  • It's not just parts of the race track that have been resurfaced at Oakleigh, but parts of the pit area too! First event back is the annual Junior Top Guns on January 17 and 18 (Friday/Saturday nights). Supp Regs are now online on the Race Calendar page.
