Warwick Kart Club 2013 Championship Presentation Night

After having a Fun Day at Sandy Creek Raceway during the day where many family and friends of members got to have a come and try, WKC members and guests gathered at the Jackie Howe Motel for the 2013 Warwick Kart Club Championship Presentations on the evening of the 14th of December.

Club Champions announced on the night were Jac Preston in Cadets, Marcos Innes in Rookies, Nic Lane in Junior National Light, Daniel Plant in J Max, Shane Roberts in TaG Restricted Light and Mark Keilar in TaG Restricted Heavy.

Other Awards went to:

  • Most Improved Junior – Jac Preston
  • Club Junior Driver of the Year – Daniel Plant
  • Junior Achievement Award – Nic Lane
  • Ron Duffield Memorial Gold Medal - Sebastian Blindell
  • Ron Duffield Memorial Silver Medal – Marcos Innes
  • Club Senior Driver of the Year – Shane Roberts
  • Junior Karter Achiever Award – Oscar Comley
  • Senior Karter Achiever Award - Tony Knight

A very deserving Life Membership was bestowed upon Justin and Trish Roberts. The Roberts family have been tremendous supporters of the Warwick Kart Club over many years and the members and guests in attendance were all delighted to show their appreciation to Justin, Trish and the boys.

Warwick Kart Club will have an exciting 2014 with the return of the Rotax Pro Tour on the 21st and 22nd of June expected to be the highlight of the year, whilst other major meetings will be Round 1 of the South East Queensland DD2 and J Max Series on the 9th of February to start off the year, the Pro Tour Shakedown on the 1st of June, which will also be Round 3 of the SEQ DD2 and J Max Series and the Queensland Junior Top Guns on August the 9th and 10th.

WKC will also be hosting the inaugural Queensland Junior Karter’s Clinic on the 5th of April (1st weekend of the school holidays) which will be modelled on the popular Junior Development Camp hosted by Combined Districts Kart Club at Lithgow in New South Wales.
