The Stable Karting team is all set for the 2014 Rotax Pro Tour, continuing on the tradition of successfully competing at every single round of the Rotax Pro Tour since 2009. This year we have a strong line-up of 9 drivers to compete in the Australian series, who we believe will be successful in their respective classes.
All Stable Karting drivers will compete under the guidance of team boss Bruce Otter. Bruce said “I’m really excited to have such a strong line-up of incredibly talented and committed drivers in the Stable Karting Team this year and look forward to what they will achieve in 2014. We race hard on the track and we have a lot of fun together as a team off the track.
"For the past couple of years we have had a really good group of Rotax racers that all get along off track and work together towards a common goal on track. The Stable Karting team will be attending all rounds of the Rotax Pro Tour in 2014 and will also be trackside competing at the Rotax Nationals in September.”
Joshua Fife is our youngest driver this year and will be contesting the JMAX class. At just 13 years of age, he has only been karting for three years, but already looks to be on the fast track to a promising racing career. Joshua made his debut in his KFJ at the 2013 CIK Stars of Karting series at South Australia’s Bolivar Raceway.

At the tender age of 12, Joshua was one of the youngest drivers to compete in this category and was awarded the Blackberry Power Award acknowledging his achievements in 2013. We are excited to be working alongside Joshua this year to compete in all rounds of the 2014 ProTour in the Rotax JMAX Class.
Harrison Knight is our youngest senior DD2 driver and at the age of 16 in 2013 made the decision to embark on a karting journey and hasn’t looked back since. Harrison did not race as a junior and instead dived into the deep end of the DD2 class at Pro Tour & National level and he hopes to improve on last year’s solid results. Harrison will be in the DD2 Tony Kart Chassis this year for both Pro Tour and CIK events in 2014. Harrison has been working hard on his fitness and driving techniques over the Christmas break and recently noted “I would just like to say a big thankyou to Bruce and Kylie at Stable Karting for all their help and support over the past year, and I'm sure the year to come. I could not have done this without the expertise and the knowhow of such experienced
people in the world of karting. I am looking forward to the year ahead and Pro Tour this week".

Brent Logan, just a few years older than Harrison will also compete in the fiercely contested DD2 category this year. This will also be Brent’s second year returning to the class, stepping up from Clubman Light to the Rotax DD2 category at the beginning of 2013. Brent hopes to continue learning about the engine and improving on his already impressive 2013 results. In fact, he has spent most of his Christmas break working on his fitness and is keen to use that to his advantage when he gets back into the kart this week. “I’m so keen to get back in the kart this weekend for Round 2 of the Rotax Pro Tour, I haven't been in it for almost 4 months so getting back in with the big field will be great” according to Brent.
Marc Townsend has been racing and part of the team for the past 5 years now and will be returning for another full Pro Tour season in the DD2 Class. Late 2013, Marc started with a new fitness program including weight training in an effort to improve his racing and to gain that advantage over his competitors. Marc really enjoys the racing at Pro Tour level and looks forward to a strong 2014 result. In particular, he is really looking forward to both Pro Tour rounds at Todd Road in Melbourne and Dubbo, Marc has had quite of bit of success at both these circuits.

Nic Klippan is a seasoned Rotax driver and has been part of the Stable Karting team competing in Pro Tour since 2009. Nic also made the switch from Rotax Light to Rotax DD2 and now completely concentrates on this class at both Pro Tour and National level. Nic divides his time between racing, university and drifting in Australia and drifting trips in Japan.“I’m really looking forward to getting back into the kart again and racing with the team, last time I was able to race was Geelong” said Nic.
Clinton Menegazzo is our youngest DD2 Masters driver this year and has been in a kart since the age of 7. However, after a 15 year break from karting, Clinton returned in 2013 and joined the team to contest the DD2 Master category. In between supplying the finest coffee in Canberra to a growing customer base he has been working on his fitness in preparation for this weekend.
Beck Connell has also been in a kart since the age of 7 and naturally found the progression from club level Rotax racing to Pro Tour level an easy one. Beck joined the team for Pro Tour in 2013 to contest the Rotax Light class and we are really looking forward to seeing how far she goes in 2014. As we all know, racing is a male dominated sport, so as a female karter, we really encourage Beck to continue her racing and she will also have the added benefit of being part of a successful team encouraging and supporting each other.

Bruce is an avid supporter of competitive kart racing in Australia and in particular has taken a keen interest in the Rotax karting brand since the late 90’s. In 2010, Stable Karting driver Tony Prendergast was selected to represent Australia in DD2 Masters at the Rotax World Finals in Italy.
