Dylan Hollis competed in the highly competitive Junior National Light category against 27 other drivers from around the country. As the mercury reached 45 degrees Celsius, Hollis qualified his CC Racing / Deadly Kart in second position. After dropping a chain while in the lead group of heat one, Hollis bounced back to take out heat two. Starting from grid seven for the fifteen lap final, Hollis made a good start driving the Deadly ‘Giselle’ Kart to dice for the leading positions outlasting his opposition to claim the victory. Night two saw Hollis claim fourth position to back up his win the night before.

Olivia Dalla-Zuanna took the Deadly brand to its second win in Junior National Light C&P on night two after finishing in third place on the opening night. The J&A Kart Tuning driver was also amongst the quickest drivers in JNL with a fifth & sixth over the two race evenings giving Deadly Karts three positions from the top eight with NSW driver Jordan Pike finishing eighth & eleventh after hovering around the top six throughout the meeting.

Ryan Pike was the fourth Deadly Kart competing in the Junior National Heavy category aboard his ‘Prix’ chassis. After having a torrid run on the opening night where he only finished the one race, the young Newcastle driver put in a blistering lap in qualifying to take out pole position on night two. After winning the opening heat race, Pike was on track to make amends from the Friday night difficulties when bad luck struck again as he wouldn’t take to the starter. Starting position seven, Pike carved his way through the pack to finish third giving Deadly Karts a successful debut with two wins, a third & a pole position.

Deadly Karts will look to claim their first state championship at the first blue ribbon event of the year at the Victorian State Championships also held at the Oakleigh Kart Club on March 8 & 9.
