  • KartSportNews is not about car racing, but occasionally we'll make the odd exception. Therefore, congratulations to Joseph Mawson who carded two wins and a third in his first ever car race meeting - the opening round of the French Formula 4 Championship at Le Mans on the weekend. Also, current karter Justin Ruggier (he leads the TEKA championship) grabbed 2nd in the V8 Touring Cars round at Mallala. The week prior, former karter Anton De Pasquale won his opening two races in the Formula Renault 1.6 Northern European Championship.

  • Here's one of the Superkart support races at the 1993 Australian Formula One Grand Prix in Adelaide. Check out the names in a who's who of superkarting of the era across a massive 48 (yes, forty-eight!) kart grid:


  • Jamie Whincup (Tecno/Parilla) winning the opening round of the 1998 CIK Australian Championship at Bolivar:


  • The Bambino Tour in the UK is for kids aged 6 to 8 using karts with limited speed and performance. It's non-competitive karting - there are no grid positions for each race where the drivers simply circulate to learn drving skills and endeavour to clock the fastest time. Deaf six-year old karter Caleb McDuff is one of the competitors. Found to be deaf before he was two, Caleb and his family have set out in determined fashion to make sure that being deaf does not prevent him from having ambitions and taking steps to achieve them.
