Wet, cold and miserable pretty much summed up the Gippsland club's June club day races at Morwell on the weekend.
Having run four heats of racing for every class the previous month, it was decided to cut back to three heats to reduce the time required to get get the races underway.
However, after the opening round of heats, and with rain set in for the day, it was decided to run the second round of heats and base the final result for the day off the combined points. This was announced to drivers in the toasty warm club rooms over a hot lunch - so nobody complained!
