Triple Treat At Hamilton Next Weekend

from Brad Anderson 6 July 2014

Round 4 of the 2014 Austrans Victorian Country Series is to be held at the Buckley Park Raceway at Hamilton next Sunday the 13th of July.

This meeting is also run in conjunction with the 18th running of the Handbury Titles as well as the Millard Memorial for Clubman Over 40s.

The first three place getters of all classes will receive a trophy as well as cash prizes with the winner of the memorial race receiving a sash and the perpetual trophy.

The circuit is always a favourite with the drivers with its fast flowing nature and challenging chicane that tests not only chassis set up but rewards drivers who attack the circuit in the search for the ideal race line. With the circuit built on the side of a hill and Mt. Napier as the back drop, the spectators are always treated with a great view of the racing with a wonderful back drop.

One driver looking to have his first race in Clubman Over 40s is Matthew Crane from the Hamilton Karting Club. Matthew has been a strong and consistent runner in Clubman Heavy for many years and will be looking at making his first attempt on the Millard Memorial a successful one.

As with the previous rounds, there are early bird prizes to be drawn on Sunday morning for those who enter by 8pm on Wednesday.
