Kartforce Cap Off Another Great Year

press release 16 October 2014

While relaxing on the flight to Le Mans France for the IAME X30 World Cup, Kip Foster may well have time to reflect on what has been another strong year for the Kartforce brand and drivers.

With the State titles in WA done and dusted, Kip and the team walked away with a swag of trophies across all engine categories, reinforcing Kip Foster's position as one of Australia’s premier engine builders, as well as driver and mentor to young stars.

Winners are grinners (L to R) Magri, Davis, Thomas, Scott Foster, Lee Foster, Kip Foster, Higgsy, Levi, Harders, Wheeler, Furzer, Evans, Jordan Love, Fefolja, Aaron Love. Proud Fathers – Harders, Love, Fefolja.

In X30 Heavy Kip played understudy to Simon Gwillam for most sessions but come the final  he stalked him until mid race and drove on comfortably for the win. In X30 Light long term Kartforce driver and ex National Junior Champion Adam Levi was dominant in a classy field to win by over 9 seconds.

Another dominating performance was from Jesse Thomas in JNL who drove away from the field from the green light to win by the length of the straight to win his maiden blue plate. Coming second was Keb Evans who had been the pacesetter in the heats but had to drive hard from the rear in the final to clinch second spot.

Proving that Kartforce still build some of the best Clubman engines, Matt Davis nailed Clubman Heavy with Brenton Magri in third, Ben Harders and Jordan Love made it a one, two in Junior Clubman, as did Lee Foster and Anthony Higgs in CSH and even veteran Simon Furzer was on the move all week ending with a rollover in the final going for fourth."

Kip was delighted with such a good spread of victories and all drivers enjoyed an ‘end of season’ photo shoot to celebrate. For Foster the WA State titles were just icing on the cake on the back of a strong year with the youngsters.

“It been great to see the commitment of the young kids and their families. Aaron and Jordan Love, Ben and Jack Harders and Dylan Ferfolja have all raced across the country with the best there is and picking up podium and top ten places in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and South Australia proves that this younger generation of karters has a lot to offer and I am looking forward to working with them over the next few years.”

Foster will once again try for the illusive IAME World Cup in Le Mans before going to the Las Vegas Supernats in November.
