  • International 'Pro' Kiwi racer Daniel Bray featured in his local mainstream media this week, mentioning how karting is oftern overlooked as simply a stepping stone to bigger things in motor sport. "It's a bit of a shame that guys like me fly way under the radar... A lot of people just look at it as a start to other motorsports. It's not. It's a proper motorsport in its own right and you can make a living from it professionally". Read more on the New Zealand Herald website HERE.

  • Talking of those who have moved across (not necessarily up) to car racing, an interesting gallery of V8 Supercar drivers from back in their karting days popped up on dailytelegraph.com.au. Click HERE to check out the first 10 photos (with another 14 HERE).

  • Want to go head to head on the track with James or David Sera? Well, now you can (and have half a chance of beating them!) via a new smartphone game called "Kart Stars" by Minicades Mobile. However, you'll need to race several rounds and upgrade your kart as you go. "Pretty random seeing yourself on an App!" Dave wrote. "Think they've looked after me with the driver fitness levels." It's a free download in the App Store, only available for iphone and ipad.
